Welcome to ...WithKate
Nature-based therapy in Netley and Hamble, Hampshire, offering a welcome space to slow down, breathe and meet yourself with empathy, non-judgement and honesty.
Therapy in Nature
WithKate’s approach is grounded in the restorative power of nature and an awareness of the mind–body connection. Nature becomes part of the therapeutic process, offering an environment that supports slowing down, reflection and gentle exploration of what may be happening for you.
Rather than stepping into a clinical setting, you are invited outdoors into nature, offering perspective, emotional grounding and a quieter relationship with your thoughts and feelings.
I work in a relational, trauma-informed way with adults, drawing on humanistic counselling, transactional analysis and person-centred therapy. At the heart of this is an emphasis on empathy, openness and meeting you where you are, without pressure or expectation, whether we are outdoors or online.
If you are looking for support to better understand yourself, your relationships or the experiences shaping your life, this can be a gentle space for reflection, awareness and reconnection.
Supporting Mind and Body
Alongside talking therapy, Tai Chi-informed movement may sometimes be gently integrated within sessions to support grounding, emotional regulation and awareness of the body.
This may help support:
• easing physical and mental tension
• supporting breath awareness
• reconnecting with the body
• cultivating calm and steadiness
These elements may be integrated within therapy or explored separately through the pathways offered.
Meet Kate
Hello,
For many years I found it difficult to slow down. Life often felt busy and I was always on the go. It was through spending time in nature that I gradually discovered a place where I could pause, reflect and reconnect with myself. That experience has shaped both the way I live and the way I work, inspiring the approach that underpins WithKate.
Alongside my counselling practice, Tai Chi has become an important part of my own life, deepening my sense of balance, presence and the connection between mind and body.
Nature continues to inspire my photography. Capturing quiet moments outdoors has become another way of sharing the sense of calm and reflection I've found myself and has grown into a collection of handmade cards, prints and books that celebrate the beauty of the natural world.
Having experienced the value of slowing down for myself, I understand how important it can be to find space to pause and reconnect in a world that often feels fast and full.
At the heart of my work is a simple intention: to offer a steady, compassionate space where you feel able to slow down, feel heard and gently explore your experiences at your own pace.
